When I first saw the boat I was pleased. It really didn't look like it was in bad shape, just needed some work. I could tell the hull needed repainting, windows needed attention and probably resealing if not new windows, all the wood could use replacing, maybe some areas needed strengthening, just a good thorough restoration. The first thing I knew that it needed was a good thorough cleaning to see what I was really in for.
After nearly a whole day of cleaning just the outside of the boat I was still impressed. The deck (everything above the rubrail) had a pretty good amount of crazing which needed repairing, there were a few soft spots that needed attention and a few leaks here and there. I decide now that I will just repaint the whole boat and hopefully have a brand new looking boat when Im finished.
